How do I prepare for my sunless tanning session?

The preparation is quite easy yet still important as it will ensure that you get the best results from your sunless, airbrushed spray tan.  The most important thing for clients to do is to shower and make sure that their skin is free from any lotions or products.  I recommend moisturizing the night before because  moisturized skin absorbs the product better but your skin also has to be free from any products the day of.   Also keep in mind that you will not be able to shower for at least 8 hours or longer after the application so you want to showered beforehand. Also please make sure that you have a space cleared for our technicians to set up their equipment.  During the application process you will be provided with a hair net and barrier lotion to prevent your nails or hair from exposure to the solution.

How does the sunless, airbrush spray tanning solution work?

Sunless tanning solutions are made with a chemical called DHA that is safe and FDA approved.  DHA has been in a variety of beauty products for the past 30 years.  It is a chemical that reacts with the surface layer of your skin and actually TANS you.  DHA and sunless tanning solutions are not simply dyes or makeup. Various levels of tans are achieved according to the percentage of DHA in the solution.  We adjust the levels of DHA according to our clients preference for the shade of their end result. 

Will the sunless, airbrush spray tanning solution stain my clothes or home?

First, Glow Mobile brings with us a portable pop open sunless tanning tent with us to all of our appointments.  The tent provides our clients with privacy as well as it protects their walls from any and all overspray that occurs during the application process.  There will be no mess for you to clean up after the application.  The initial spray will contain a cosmetic bronzer that may slightly rub off on clothing. This will wash out and will not be much if any, however I recommend wearing darker and lose clothing the day of the application.  After your first shower you can wear whatever color you would like and the solution will not rub off.  The cosmetic bronzer allows technicians to see where they have sprayed ensuring even results as well as it provides clients with instant tanning gratification!
